Experts discussed the Crimean Platform in the Crimean Discussion Club

During the Crimean Discussion Club, which was held online on 4 December, experts analyzed the Crimean Platform, an initiative of the Ukrainian foreign ministry. Key success factors, risks and strategic opportunities of the Crimean Platform were discussed. The following experts spoke at the event: Andrii Klimenko (chief editor of the BlackSeaNews portal), Svitlana Andruschtchenko (assistant professor of Kyiv University), Boris Babin (expert of the Crimean Tatar Resource Centre) and Oliver Loode (expert of the Estonian Institute of Human Rights). In his statement, Loode emphasized the need to formally engage representatives of Ukraine’s indigenous peoples, as well as civil society representatives from Ukraine and abroad, into the work of the Crimean Platform. Results of the discussion will be presented in the form of recommendations to Ukrainian authorities.
